Project Updates Outline Athens Infrastructure Work on Metro Line 4 and Ellinikon

Athens Metro Line 4, described as the largest public works project in Greece, is a 13-km U-shaped underground route now underway with completion estimated between 2029 and 2032 and capacity for up to 340,000 commuters daily.

Metro Line 4 Details

Ellinikon Redevelopment

The Ellinikon project occupies the former Athens Airport site and carries a total value of $13.1 billion, listed as Europe’s largest private investment. It will deliver green space, housing and business centres, while infrastructure works are expected to finish by 2027.
