Central neighborhoods already receive reliable FTTH and FTTC connections at 100-200 Mbps, and certain providers offer up to 1 Gbps or higher in select zones. Cosmote records the fastest broadband at 61.9 Mb/s and the fastest mobile service at 121.7 Mb/s, while Vodafone posts the highest upload speeds and lowest ping on fixed lines.
Inalan recorded a median download speed of 225.31 Mbps in H2 2024, exceeding other major providers. These upgrades let residents in expanded areas handle larger file transfers and multiple simultaneous streams on a single connection.
5G Coverage Supports Everyday Mobility
5G service operates across Athens with typical speeds between 30 and 150 Mbps, and 100 percent of the population has uninterrupted access at a minimum of 100 Mbps download. Starlink became fully available in Greece as of 2026, giving an alternative for locations still awaiting fiber. Residents use these links for navigation apps, real-time updates and on-the-go work without dropping to slower fallback networks.
Households and small businesses can compare plans from Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova, which list fiber packages between €22 and €40 per month on 24-month contracts. Checking coverage maps for specific addresses and testing current speeds against provider claims helps users select options that match their daily data needs.
