Athens Amateur Football League July 10 Results

The Athens Neighborhood Football League completed its July 10 round with four completed fixtures that left the top of the table unchanged.

The summer schedule began on June 1 and now runs through late August, giving working adults in the capital a fixed outlet for weekly competition amid rising heat that reached 32 degrees Celsius last weekend.

Matches took place at the municipal pitches beside Pedion tou Areos park and at the smaller ground on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue near the Hilton, both maintained by the Athens Amateur Sports Federation.

League records show 320 registered players across 16 teams this season, with an average of 3.2 goals scored per game and an entry fee of 50 euros per player.

Results from the July 10 Round

Exarcheia FC defeated Kolonaki United 3-1 at Pedion tou Areos after taking a two-goal lead inside the first 25 minutes. Pangrati FC and Koukaki Athletic played to a 2-2 draw on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, with both sides exchanging leads in the second half. Nea Filadelfeia edged Psyrri 2-0 in the third fixture, while the fourth match at the same Vasilissis Sofias venue saw Monastiraki Rovers beat Kypseli 4-1.

These outcomes kept Exarcheia and Nea Filadelfeia level on points at the top, each with 19 points after seven rounds.

Fixtures resume on July 18 with Exarcheia hosting Nea Filadelfeia at Pedion tou Areos and Kolonaki United visiting Koukaki Athletic.
